Watch Repair Services
Complete Service

The watch movement is completely stripped and cleaned of oil and dirt using sophisticated machinery, re-assembled, lubricated, regulated, re-cased and water pressure tested (where necessary). The watch case and bracelet are polished/refurbished (optional) and cleaned prior to final assembly, before undergoing a 72-hour final test.

New Movement

Sometimes a movement is beyond repair and may require a replacement unit, especially in quartz watches.

Battery Replacement

Waiting too long to replace a dead or slowing battery is a big mistake, since dead batteries can end up causing problems to the movement. We replace ALL batteries on site while you wait. We could test your watch and ensure it is sealed and safe for use in water.

Polishing/Refurbishment

We provide an excellent polishing service. We have very sophisticated polishing and lapping equipment. Our experts personally handle and polish each piece to give it that like-new shine. We have years of experience that you’ll see every time you look at your watch.

Glass Replacement

The front part of your watch is usually made of glass or plastic, which covers up the dial, or face. Since this part of the watch literally “faces” the rest of the world, it often takes a lot of abuse. The majority of watch brands and models can have their glasses replaced. Please ask if we can replace yours.

Bracelet Adjustment/Replacement

Depending on the bracelet whether it is gold, steel or a combination, it can usually be adjusted, repaired or replaced.

Partial Service

The watch crown is replaced. The new strap is replaced. The watch case is given a light clean. The bracelet is ultrasonically cleaned and water pressure tested (where necessary).

What Is Our Complete Service?
1: Diagnosis and Estimates

Before servicing starts, your watch and its movement are examined meticulously by our watchmaker who decides on what, if anything, has to be done. You receive an estimate for approval before work starts.

If you have bought the watch into our service centre, and decided not to give a go ahead on the repairs, there will be free of charge of return unrepaired. If the work is to proceed there is no further charge then the quotation price.

2: Dismantling and Cleaning

For optimal performance and accuracy, manufacturers recommend that the movement be dis-assembled, cleaned, dried, and then assembled and oiled to specification. Oiling an already dirty watch will trap dirt and debris and cause the oil to spread around the movement and make the watch run poorly. So we remove the movement from the case and entirely dismantle and then wash.

The movement components are examined meticulously and replaced if they show signs of premature wear or risk affecting the operation of the mechanism. Every movement component is hand cleaned then placed in special washing containers designed specifically to avoid scratching, where it is to be degreased and cleaned fully, using a state of the art cleaning machine, with specially formulated cleaning and degreasing solutions.

3: Assembly and Lubrication

Lubrication to reduce the friction on moving parts that causes them to wear out. There are over 50 areas of friction that need to be oiled in a typical wristwatch and the more complications on the watch, the more areas that need to be oiled.

Lubrication limits the friction between the mechanical parts, thereby reducing energy losses and wear. Lubrication can use up to a dozen different oils and greases, determined by the sliding and chemical specific to each component.

We also employ the use of epilame which repels oils and helps control the spread of lubricants.

This guarantees an outstanding long-term performance of the movement.

4: Watch Timing Rate Adjustment

Watchmaker will adjust the inertia of the balance dynamically, and thus it's isochronism in the required positions as per the technical guide for the brand's movement. The rate results must comply with the manufacture’s standards and tolerances.

5: Case & Bracelet Polishing and Cleaning

We may offer to lightly polish the case and bracelet included in a complete service.

We also offer case and bracelet polishing as a separate stand alone service for our customers. All case and bracelets are ultrasonically cleaned using special solutions designed just for this purpose.

6: Reassembly of the Case

The case is reassembled and all the seals are replaced. For chronograph models, push buttons or seals are fitted to keep your watch water resistant.

7: Waterproof Test

The watch case is rigorously tested to ensure it is completely water resistant to factory specifications.

8: Quality Control

Put the serviced timepieces on the Elma cyclomotion to tested for a minimum of 12 hours to stabilize all its moving components, and in automatic watches to check the automatic system.

Final check of the power reserve, timing accuracy and aesthetic appearance of your watch, to guarantee the highest possible standard of quality.

9: Guarantee

Every timepiece after full service is covered by a minimum 12-month guarantee. We have upgraded our warranties to 24 months on services on Panerai and Cartier.

Anomalies caused by normal wear and tear, anomalies relating to a shock, abnormal use, incorrect handling, work carried out on the watch by someone other than Artisan Swiss Watch Service or an Authorized Repair Center (in the case of the brands we are an authorized repair center for), or failure to observe the recommended water-resistant handling or service intervals are not covered by the service warranty.

Laser Welding Services (Coming Soon)

Laser welding is a modern procedure that has revolutionised permanent or temporary connection of platinum, gold or silver. Although traditional welding/soldering still provides the strongest bond between Nobel metals it usually requires heating of the entire object with a torch, which has its own challenges resulting in object overheating, oxidation, increased porousness, evaporation of metal, or potential destruction of the design and the stones around it. Laser welding is a practical alternative and is extremely useful.

A concentrated electromagnetic wavelength is focused on a specific part of an object, in a split second, repetitive pulses of powerful beam of light create enough heat to efficiently fuse adjacent metal parts.
